¹⁶ The tablets were made by God, and the writing on them was God’s writing.

¹⁷ Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, and he cried out to Moses, “There are battle sounds coming from the camp!” ¹⁸ But Moses answered, “It is not the shout of victory, nor the sound of defeat. It is the sound of singing that I hear.”
